Tools for research productivity

PartnersPPGGOC-UFMG

Coordinator: Max C. Mattos

This project  integrates research, service and teaching  involving methodologies and software to support research activities. Conducted by LATACI® Research Institute and the Graduate Program in Management and Organization of Knowledge (PPGGOC-UFMG), the project is part of the ERASMUS Program (European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) between the PPGGOC-UFMG and Transylvania University of Brasov (UT Brasov) coordinated by professor Beatriz Valadares Cendón. The ongoing teaching project aims to develop teaching materials and workshops in English and Portuguese about bibliographic software such as Zotero and Mendeley and software for qualitative analysis such as NVIVO. These materials will be tested and improved, initially, in training of UT Brasov professors, as well as professors and students of PPGGOC. They will also be used in integrated teaching activities, coordinated by Professor Max Cirino de Mattos, involving PPGGOC-UFMG and the Professional Master’s Program in Administration of University UNA (PMPA-UNA). The materials developed will be used in local and distance education courses, offered in Brazil and abroad. The research project studies processes to integrate the various methodologies and tools involved, compares functionalities and usability of the various tool and conducts user studies. Later stages of this project intend to include other tools for research productivity in the field of bibliometrics, scientometrics, altmetrics and webometrics.
